FANNING IS BACK
Remember the bane of RIAA that was Napster? Oh, sure it is still around, but it is barely a shadow of its former self. Been wondering where its founder, Shawn Fanning, has been since the service was shut down rather than be forced to operate under court order? KAZAA STRIKES BACK
Reuters reports today that the Kazaa file-sharing network, Sharman Networks of the south Pacific island Vanuatu, won permission to sue the RIAA for misuse of its software. It should be entertaining to see if this approach works in giving RIAA a dose of its own medicine.
